Time for some $1/$2 NL

Was a good night for me last night and long overdue. I actually played a terrible hand early on with JJ. The PF and PF betting told me he had a higher pair but it took me $75 to finally press the fold button. I had all the information I needed to fold at the $25 mark. Good news is I got it all back and then some shortly after with AK. I ended up the night about $325 up which put my BR just over $2000. At that mark I am going to try the next level of Nl cash games. I think the toughest thing there will be getting used to betting twice as much without fear of losing it. If my first session is a winner that will be a big boost, if its a loser...ouch.

One player with I got in a few battles with and here is one of the more positive ones. His looseness made me more aggressive than normal and as it worked out I got an encouraging flop...

Looking at his hole cards we can see he didnt like being raised...if the flop had missed me what would I have done?...I guess we will never know but it sure felt good taking his $100, heh.

Here is the hand that made up for the initial $75 I lost.

The SS initial all-in illustrates why I dont respect there bets - they push-in with all sorts of junk and they dont have money to scare anyone off. Tim099 is obviously willing to gamble and he did back it up by raising my bet on the flop but unfortunately for him I had him dominated.

The cards fell pretty nice for me last night and only really had one bad beat where I lost a pot of about $70. I raised $5 PF with AA and got called by two. Flop came 883. Me and SS battles it out and he took the pot with his mightyy 89o. If only he had a bigger stack...I dont understand why these chimps come to the tables with so few chips. To me they are playing scared and they commit themselves to hands to easily that they shouldnt be in. But it is easier to take, so I shouldnt complain.

Well I am off to try the $1/$2 NL now...I will just play one table to get a feel for the new amounts.

Good luck me!
